Augmented Reality Data Visualisation : Concept Proposal

This design response utilises data visualisation within an AR environment to engage and support employees to draw meaningful insights from food waste data within their store. Through AR technology the app will aggregate all food waste data streams and generate a 3D model of the waste, which is to scale with real life surroundings. This feature will allow employees to gain perspective on the volume of food being wasted and start to create a conversation around the topic. The lack of engagement and motivation around food waste was one of the main issues identified during the design process. However, by equipping employees with the ability to visualise the waste in a simple yet visually stimulating process, we can shift this narrative and allow them to begin recognising trends and patterns with the food being wasted.
