‘Stone Shrine’ is an interactive lantern that symbolises the presence of people or loved ones. ‘Stone Shrine’ draws inspiration from the trend of stacking stones on top of each other. Stacking stones usually indicate that someone has been at a location before you, and you add a stone to the pile to claim your presence. We have taken this idea, and used the meaning behind it to create our lantern. ‘Stone Shrine’ is a lantern that functions with one lamp, however multiple lamps can be stacked and balanced, and the light travels through each additional lantern.
